Applications

Applications for Semester Two, 2011 or Semester One, 2012 may be submitted

Applications for enrolment are welcome from any student who intends to enter, or is presently studying at The University of Melbourne.  A very limited number of applications are also accepted from students studying, or intending to study, at neighbouring tertiary institutions.  St Mary's College accommodates students from RMIT, ACU and Monash Pharmacy.  We recommend that all applicants from non-University of Melbourne Institutions have a number of housing options available to them, as we receive far more applications that we can accommodate.

For general assistance with housing and accommodation, please contact the housing service affiliated with your University.

The following step by step process must be followed when submitting an application;

 1. Obtain an Application for Admission Form from the St Mary's College Office or by accessing the form on-line via The University of Melbourne Colleges website (http://www.colleges.unimelb.edu.au/start.php).
This form is common to all the Colleges at The University of Melbourne and only one application should be forwarded to your College of first choice.  It is advisable to indicate, on the form, other Colleges in order of preference.  If your College of first choice cannot offer you a place, your application will be forwarded to the Intercollegiate Pool Office in January which will send it to the College of your second choice.
 2.

Return the following to St. Mary's College at your earliest convenience in order to begin the process and arrange an interview;

  1. Application form
  2. Registration fee of $35.00
  3. Completed Statement of Intention Sheet (download)
  4. Completed St Mary's College School/Academic Referee Report Form (download) and St Mary's College Character Referee Report Form (download).
  5. Four passport size photographs.
    Please also return your completed St Mary's College Scholarship application form if applicable (see the Scholarships link on the top left hand corner of this page).
 3. The receipt of your application form will be acknowledged and you will be requested to arrange an appointment for an interview with the Principal.
 4. Forward a copy of your ENTER score to the College in December, or your University results if you are already attending the University, as soon as they are available.  You must also inform the College of your course and institution as soon as you accept your offer of a place from University.
 5. Offers for a place at St. Mary's College are made when the VTAC course offers are released, usually mid-January.
