Staff

The staff and tutors work closely together to ensure a comprehensive management team look after the day to day running of the College. 

The Principal, Vice-Principal and Dean are available to meet with students throughout the year during office hours and also in the evenings. St Mary's staff maintain an open door policy and we welcome input from all students about life in the College as well as suggestions for change or improvements.

Dr Elizabeth Hepburn I.B.V.M. is responsible for all aspects of College life.  She joined the College in  2008 after a rewarding period as College Principal at Sancta Sophia College at The University of Sydney.  Dr Hepburn is a Loreto sister and will work closely with the Vice Principal, Dean, Student Council, Residential Tutors and Student Mentors to ensure that the College assists each student to fulfill their personal and academic potential.

Mr. Sean Vagg is responsible for the pastoral care and discipline of the St. Mary's College student body.  Mr. Vagg is a criminal lawyer who also volunteers with several not-for-profit organisations.  He is a very keen musician in his spare time.  Mr. Vagg has had an extensive involvement with the College over many years, having been a resident of the College for several years as an undergraduate, and a residential tutor in 2008.  Mr. Vagg supervises the College's residential tutor team in conjunction with Dr. Hepburn, and takes a particular interest in the non-academic welfare and development of our students.

Mr Dane Kirby supports the academic ethos of the College, through the provision of an extensive tutorial programme, study skills programmes, and one-to-one support of students. He supports and oversees the Student Mentor Team.

Mr Troy Busbee manages all non-academic aspects of the College including financial matters.

Ms Helen Eyre manages all special functions during University semesters and all conference bookings during the semester breaks - November to February and June to July.
